About Kaelin

I am a French tutor with over 4 years of experience and a Bachelor of Arts in European Languages, majoring in French philology. I specialise in working with advanced students who wish to deepen their understanding of literary analysis, translation, and academic French. My lessons explore French novels, critical essays, and the works of classic authors, making literature come alive in the classroom. I help students analyse texts, interpret meaning, and appreciate stylistic nuances. Advanced grammar and sophisticated vocabulary are integrated naturally into every session. University students benefit from guidance in writing dissertations, essays, and preparing for competitive exams. I focus on building both confidence and precision in reading, writing, and critical thinking. Through discussion, close reading, and translation exercises, students gain mastery of complex texts and ideas. I encourage curiosity, thoughtful interpretation, and a love for the richness of the language. Lessons are tailored to individual goals, whether academic, professional, or personal enrichment. My approach ensures that learners not only understand French but appreciate its elegance and depth. By connecting language to culture, history, and literature, students experience the true beauty of French. Join me to master the depth and sophistication of French language and literature.

About the lesson

My teaching approach focuses on making French clear, practical, and enjoyable for all learners. I combine structured lessons with interactive activities to strengthen listening comprehension and speaking skills. Students learn verb conjugation, essential vocabulary, and grammar in ways that are easy to understand and remember. I introduce slang, idiomatic expressions, and cultural references so learners can communicate naturally. Travel-focused lessons help students feel confident navigating airports, restaurants, and daily interactions in French-speaking countries. Role-plays, dialogues, and listening exercises create an immersive environment that builds real-world communication skills. Lessons are adapted to beginners and intermediate learners, ensuring each student progresses at their own pace. I provide guidance, encouragement, and practical tips to help learners excel. Hobbyists and newcomers alike gain confidence through consistent practice and supportive feedback. I emphasise repetition, conversation, and context to make learning meaningful and fun. Mistakes are treated as learning opportunities, helping students improve without fear. By connecting language to real-life situations, learners develop fluency, comprehension, and self-assurance. Each session is designed to leave students motivated and ready to use French confidently.
