I give group and one to one tutorials, at Degree level or A level. I specialise in interrogating source texts, making the thought world of other eras explicable and trying to orient my student in the use of evidence and the structure of coherent argument.
I have a degree in History, a Masters in Medieval Studies, Special Research Fellowships in Medical Anthropology and Psycho-pharmacolgy and I am writing a Doctoral Thesis in the History of Medicine.
I have taught A Level Students and Undergraduates for over a decade in subjects including History, Mythology and Classical Civilisation.

I have had the great privilege to both teach and be taught by some excellent Students and Teachers, sometimes simultaneously. During my period of Doctoral Research I have taken additional classes including Philosophy, the History of Science and Anthropology and taught across a spectrum of subject areas and periods from Ancient History to English Literature. The extent of my Research and Teaching background enables me to keep the commonality of the Tutor and Student experience at the forefront of my teaching, and has provided me with a rich intellectual resource upon which to draw in order to engage the vital interests and enthusiasm of my students.
