About Tommy
Hi! I'm an aspiring History and Social Studies teacher based in New York with a genuine passion for the subject that goes well beyond the classroom. I'm an avid reader, writer, and traveler, and those experiences deeply inform how I teach. While my studies have focused heavily on American and European history, I have a broad and extensive knowledge of world history that goes far beyond the Western narrative.

I bring structured, engaging, and student-centered lessons that make history and social studies come alive. I believe every student learns differently, so I tailor my approach to fit each individual's needs, learning style, and pace. I use a mix of visual aids, timelines, primary source analysis, and real-world connections to help students understand and retain material. Rather than just memorizing dates and facts, I help students understand the why behind historical events, making the content meaningful and easier to recall during exams. A typical session starts with a quick review of previous material to reinforce retention. We then tackle new content through guided notes or discussion, followed by practice questions or activities.
