About Alisha
I have studied and worked as chemical engineer but in the last five years I have been professionally working as a teacher. I’m an adjunct professor in a college teaching GED and maths programs. I also tutor at a university and do a lot of tutoring on the side.

My teaching philosophy is straightforward: teach your students as you would want to be taught - with enthusiasm, and with a passion for the subject combined with respect and understanding for the student. Maths and Chemistry is a subject that I have studied, practiced, taught and enjoyed over the last 15 years. Effective teaching involves time, dedication, patience, understanding, firmness, and a sense of humor. True learning incorporates active participation by the student, inside as well as outside the classroom.
