About Jay
I’m an experienced and fully qualified online educator with 26 years of professional teaching practice, specialising in ESOL, IELTS, and Key Stage 2–GCSE English and Maths. Teaching is not just my career. It’s the work that gives me purpose. I believe every learner, regardless of background, confidence level, or previous experience, deserves an education that feels accessible, respectful, and genuinely empowering.
Over the years, I’ve taught in mainstream colleges, alternative provision, adult education, Offender learning, and secure settings, and these experiences have shaped my commitment to creating a learning environment where students feel seen, supported, and capable of achieving more than they thought possible.
I teach because I know how transformative the right guidance can be. I want my students to experience progress they can measure, confidence they can feel, and a sense of pride in their own abilities.

I specialise in supporting diverse learners, including SEN, EAL, neurodivergent, adult, and anxious students, and tailor each session to individual goals, learning styles, and curriculum requirements.
