For KS1/KS2/KS3 students: I will try to help the student improve their comprehension skills, and work with them on their homework and classwork- really any issues they are having with English I would be more than happy to provide some guidance. I will also help them improve on the specific feedback their teachers are giving them.
I aim to make my sessions interactive, fun and most importantly educational. I find my students prosper more from a relaxed and comfortable environment whether that is at home, the library or any other safe place. In terms of curriculum I am happy to teach any English content, be it literature or language and any exam board.
I aim my lessons at GCSE students but I can teach anyone below that qualification level and perform work checks to ensure SPAG is correct in all written pieces. Lessons are specialised to each student and tailored to best suit the needs of said student.
I've always struggled with the pressure of exams, and so I can completely empathise with those who feel the same! I can also appreciate the time-consuming ordeal as you prepare to hand in coursework, or take part in a controlled assessment. Each student is different, and I'm here to give help as it's needed! I like to start with a short introductory session with the student.
My methods of teaching include GCSE and Btec guidelines, past papers, and also module based, I can teach in a classroom or private environment in a one to one basis and also online. I am versatile in my lesson structures and I like to base my teaching on a structure to monitor progress and to ensure there is relevant progress being made.
I am currently studying the first year of my A-levels in religious studies, Law and English Language and Literature, I want to share my knowledge and experience with others and help them so that they can progress and reach their full potential.
As a bilingual student who acquired English as a dual language, I can help students access the basic skills in English reading and writing, before delving into more complex work and studies. This can vary across the academic study of literature or tasks in creative and persuasive writing seen in the curriculum of current examinations across the country.
I give lessons from any age up to 16. A few of my other teaching highlights include: Continually facilitate an open, consistent, and nurturing learning environment where students are motivated to learn and driven by their own successes and accomplishments.
I am willing to tutor both GCSE and A level students. Having chosen English Literature at A level and as my degree I really know what is required to write a compelling and coherent essay and how to insightfully and closely analyse texts.
Lessons will be relevant to school curriculum and focus on helping the child in areas where they feel they are struggling as well as extra learning and knowledge (can be very flexible in terms of structure and is in the child's control as much as mine) I can give helpful first hand insight into essays, poetry, analysis of texts, creative writing, answering exam questions etc
I am a freelance tutor, teaching those who like to improve on their hobbies alongside those who study creative writing degrees. My methods are casually answering questions and working with my student/students to tackle certain topics they would like learn themselves. I am fun and laid back, so don't stress! Unwind and learn your favourite subject at ease.
I approach each topic in a way that is relatable and easy to understand. I believe that children learn best in a stimulating environment.
Innovative humorous creative approach. Empathetic to range of students. Passionate about unlocking the highest potential in each person. Language is power so people can use the persuasive power of words to move others. Critical skills are crucial and then employ this new understanding with own work.
I as an educator know that student engagement is the key to learning retention, with changing times education requires adaptation and evolution. Therefore I base my current teaching style around the individual student to eliminate anomalies in their academic life.
My teaching method is based on looking at what the student struggles with and ensuring that the student is comfortable with it before the exam. I like to encourage students to attempt mock papers with me and at home.
I believe in order to teach a student you have to be engaging and make learning fun as cliche as it sounds, I love teaching one to one as I believe children benefit the most from this (or small classes).
As a primary school teacher I teach Maths, English, Science and core subjects to primary level. I have 7 years experience in different educational requirements presented by those whom I teach and am experienced in different learning styles ensuring progress.
I will consider difficult topics that the student struggles with and first gear my lessons around achieving a excellent understanding on that area. Once all areas of the curriculum have been covered I will introduce revision techniques and will show the student step by step how to approach and master exam questions with the aid of a mark scheme.
My teaching method is to instill fun into the lessons so students can remember what I taught them. I would teach in how I wish to be taught when I was studying the language.
I love creating a comfortable room for my students,So that no one feels uncomfortable.I am willing to pick you your English written or spoken skills no matter whatever level you are standing at currently. My course contents will be unique depending on the students.Depending on where they are standing currently.
My teaching method is based on discussion which I believe is more suited to the tutorial format. My approach is rooted inthe depth of my own knowldge of the subject but is delivered from the starting level of the student, with the purpose of extending the knowledge and practice of the student.
My teaching methodology is a lot of contact time reinforced with appropriate homework so that the student can reach their academic potential. I will help your child to progress no matter their proficiency at the subject they are getting tutored for.

I base each class on the topic YOU want to write about. If you don’t have one, that’s fine. I’ll show you how to find a topic out of anything! I have a reversed method where you test me and give me a prompt to unravel a story from and then you’ll do the same (I’ll provide a prompt). I’ll support you when doing this.
