About Davina
Hi, my name is Vina! I'm a primary school teacher with over six years of experience working in education across multiple London boroughs. I enjoy teaching and believe every child deserves to feel confident. Watching that confidence grow is what drives me every day.
I specialise in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, offering one-to-one tuition tailored entirely to your child's individual needs.
This means:
- No generic worksheets
- No one-size-fits-all approach
But instead:
- Understanding where your child is currently working at
- Creating a tailored and meaningful 1 to 1 lesson plan exclusively for your child
Whether your child is working towards age-related expectations or aiming for Greater Depth Standard (GDS), I build a bespoke learning plan around them.
What I focus on ?
I focus on the core subjects Maths and English. This including phonics, reading comprehension skills, creative and functional writing, and literacy skills.

I have worked at one of top outstanding schools in haringey supporting children of all abilities and backgrounds including autism, ADHD, social and emotional difficulties, dyslexia, and hearing impairment. I understand that every child learns differently and I adapt my approach accordingly.
In my tutoring work, I have helped pupils bridge the gap between where they are and where they need to be, supporting children working towards age-related expectations as well as those reaching for Greater Depth. I focus on building strong foundations, closing knowledge gaps, and making learning feel achievable and enjoyable.
