About Natalie
I pride myself on being a teacher that is both approachable and professional. Someone that students find it easy to talk to and be comfortable around but also inspires confidence in students that I clearly know my subject. Having been teaching for so long I have not only a wealth of knowledge when it comes to English Literature and Language, I also know how to communicate well with and work with students from all different backgrounds and experiences and ability levels.

My teaching style adapts depending on the age I'm teaching and the text type I'm teaching but the most important thing for me is to make a connection with the students so that I can make the topic/text both understandable and enjoyable to them. Typically lessons will last an hour so as to maximise concentration. I have been a qualified English Language and Literature teacher for ten years now and have worked in various schools around the Essex area and spent four years teaching internationally in the Seychelles. I have a track record of achieving excellent results with a range of students at both GCSE and A Level, including one of my A Level students achieving a top ten in the world result for his A Level English Literature last year.
