About Amy
I am a caring and dedicated teacher with 10 years of varied experience in the education sector. I have worked in independent, mainstream and language schools during my career as well as doing private tutoring.
I am passionate about children’s development and finding creative ways to engage them in their learning. My energetic and positive approach is effective in building confidence in my students and benefits their attainment and progress.
I will provide well planned, structured lessons that are tailored to each individual I teach.

As a primary school teacher I have had the privilege to support hundreds of children in their learning. I have had experience with a wide variety of abilities and needs and am aware of how each child is unique in their way of learning. I enjoy building relationships with my students so that I can understand their needs and adapt my approach to suit them. I am creative in planning sessions that will excite and interest my students based on what I know about them. Building confidence and promoting a love of learning is always central to my teaching practice.
I am a qualified CELTA teacher, and through working with students from numerous countries in primary classrooms, I specialise in providing support for children with English as a second language. I have worked with a range of students; from those with no previous English experience to those taking IELTS exams in order to study abroad.
My lessons are 45 minutes - 1 hour
I can support children from 7 - 11 with the primary school curriculum, especially with school entrance exam preparation.
I will also support older children and adults to learn English.
