Methodology

am a qualified Post-Compulsory Education teacher with over 10 years working experience teaching Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications related to Science and Maths in FE and Sixth Form Colleges.
I have a strong scientific, technological and mathematics knowledge acquired from achieving a Chemical Engineering degree and carrying out scientific research in Physical Chemistry.
My passion for science and mathematics has inspired and motivated learners into learning and pursue a career in these subjects.
During my career I have learnt the difficulties students face on learning Maths and Science and how to help them to overcome them. I also know a great deal of tips and ways to make sure students write the expected answers in the examinations that the examining boards are looking for.

Background

Working as a teacher I provided one-to-one support to students who needed it and as a result they improved their grades. For example, I remember a foreign student who was really struggling with A-level Chemistry and after arranging one-to-one support sessions at the College with me, she improved by three grades.

Hartlepool Sixth Form College teaching GCSE Science, BTEC Applied Science and A-level Chemistry.
The Cheadle College teaching A-level Chemistry and BTEC Applied Science.
