About Federica
Ciao, hola, nǐ hǎo!
I am Federica, and I have been a teacher in the UK for over ten years, including six years at a selective independent school in London.
I am a passionate practitioner who believes education should empower people and open doors for everyone.
I have taught learners of every age and level: my youngest pupil was six months old, and my oldest… well, it wouldn't be polite to say!
I have taught languages at KS1 and KS2, and I bring the techniques that work well with this age group into my 11+ lessons.
I am DBS-checked, with Level 3 safeguarding training.
Reading and writing are my great passions. I hold an MPhil and an MA in Chinese Literature and a BA in English and Chinese Language and Literature, and I am a member of a London writers' group that meets regularly.
I am currently studying for an MA in Education, and I tutor 11+ students every week.

Having seen the 11+ from the school's side, I know how stressful the process can be for children and their families. That is why I plan every lesson around the individual pupil. The aim is to build their confidence in both their knowledge and their exam techniques, so they give themselves the best possible chance.
Rather than simply coaching for the test, I help my students flourish so that, on the day, they feel ready to show what they can really do.
