About Cali
Hi! I’m Cali, a former teacher and Political Science graduate from the University of Houston. My background in education has given me a passion for helping students understand challenging subjects while building confidence in their own abilities.
I’ve always been fascinated by history because it helps us understand how the world we live in today came to be. I believe history is much more than memorizing dates and names—it’s about understanding people, ideas, conflicts, and the connections between events.
As a tutor, I bring my experience as an educator into every lesson. I strive to create a comfortable and supportive environment where students can ask questions, work through difficult concepts, and learn without feeling overwhelmed. I adapt my teaching style to each student and focus on finding the approach that works best for them.
Whether you’re preparing for an exam, working on an essay, or struggling with a particular period of history, I’m here to help make the material easier to understand and, hopefully, a little more interesting along the way!

My lessons are designed to make history easier to understand, more engaging, and less overwhelming. As a former teacher with a degree in Political Science from the University of Houston, I understand that every student learns differently, so I tailor my approach to each student’s needs and goals.
Rather than simply memorizing dates and names, I focus on helping students understand the bigger picture. We’ll connect important events, people, political movements, and historical developments so that the material makes sense as a story rather than a list of facts.
Depending on what you need help with, lessons can include:
