About AJ
Rather than only practicing antiquated 20th century methods like Stanislovski or Meisner I incorporate modern neurology and psychology to create a unique and effective technique which allows anyone to develop effective and accurate representations of human nature regardless of their skill level. My bachelor's is in acting my Masters in Musical Theatre from Royal Conservatory of Scotland.
Nothing compares to being in front of a live audience and sharing your work with them. It's not about the applause or spotlight, the joy comes in the creation and purpose. I love letting Shakespeare flow trippingly off my tongue or act singing my heart out. I enjoy being behind the camera but my heart is in the trenches because theatre can change hearts and minds. And at the end of the day that's what I'm all about.
While earning my Masters and working as an actor I was often asked to do workshops and private lessons from those who have seen my performances.

First session is Q and A in order to discover student's needs and to assess skill level. A monologue will be chosen and each week monologue will be worked with goal to have a audition ready to go by end of sessions. The time it takes depends on student's proficiency and availably.
Generally students who have some basic skills and are interested in pursuing acting seriously. Usually high school or above.
George Bernard Shaw said in Man and Superman "There are those who do and those who teach." And in acting if your teacher doesn't act and do it well at a high level, you will be joining them as an underskilled, out of practice and work actor.
I just finished shooting a commercial with a well know star (once it's released I'll disclose more) but he was a class act and the whole crew and creative team were fun, profesh and proficient. Acting is all about the people you work across from and I'm fortunate to have worked with some great people.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Why do you want to take these lessons? Do you want to be a star, gain confidence or just pursue the noble profession of acting for the sake of it? In acting motivation is everything.
