Seeing that spark of understanding in a learner's eyes. I love seeing improvement over time. I love sharing my joy and passion for art with curious minds.

I have a BA (Florida State), MA (University of South Carlina) and PhD (University of Oklahoma) in art history. I've taught art history at a number of colleges and universities, and I have also worked at a number of art museums.

About the lesson

I like to have an open conversation about their experience with art, art history, and academics. Next, I like to talk about what the student is struggling with and how I might be able to help. Just having an open, honest converstion can go along way. Next, the student and I will set up up goals and a timeline together.

He works step by step through papers and assignments to make sure I understand why he changed the things he did. While he can be a little harsh in the review process, he is easy to talk too.
