About The only reason that we can John

Hello!

My name is John Taranto and sports have been the biggest influence in my life. My dad was my biggest mentor and through him I learned so much about sports and life. He taught me that passion and drive for what you do will make all the difference. He was an immigrant that came through Ellis Island when he was 10 and made a great life here for myself and my family. And the lessons I've learned have transferred over to the business world where I've started my other company, also named Second Chance. But I'm not here to sell you on that. I want to get back involved with coaching sports now that I'm blessed to have some spare time. Two of my favorite quotes are from John Calipari and it is "if you care about your people you'll always be in business." And finally, "I'd take a bad deal with good people over a good deal with bad people anyway." Sports have taught me to deal with playing from behind, accepting defeat, and overcoming adversity. I played varsity football, basketball, and baseball in high school and four years of college football as well. Contact me and we can work on your game!

Over 25 years involvement in baseball, football, and basketball. Played football at the college level. Coached high school basketball.
