About Trevor

I have been a swim instructor for 3 years . I work at Easterseals giving lessons to kids aging from 1-9 during the school year. Over the Summer I am a lifeguard and Head swim instructor at the Stingray Bay Aquatic Center (Huntley Park District). I have gotten many job offers from parents of children I have given lessons to, to give their kids private lessons. I love kids, and really do enjoy giving swim lessons. I also have been babysitting for 5 years now, and am willing to babysit by parent request. I have been told I do a really good job interacting with kids not only on a swim lesson level but on a role model level as well. I also stand out as an instructor who knows how to have fun with the kids while making sure they follow directions and cooperate. I have my own inground heated pool available at my house.

Over the Summer I am a lifeguard and Head swim instructor at the Stingray Bay Aquatic Center (Huntley Park District).

I enjoy see my student improve and have fun while doing it. Pushing them hard while making sure they are having fun is what makes kids improve in anything.

SWIM LESSONS- I have always been a good communicator with children. Swim lessons was the perfect summer job, and I fell in love immediatly.

SWIM LESSONS- I am a certified lifeguard, which includes also being CPR an first aid certified. I am also a "Stargauard/ Starfish" certified swim instructor. I am on my third year of teaching swim lessons. I work a public pool back home during the summer, and I currently give lessons at Easterseals in Peoria.

About the lesson

SWIM LESSONS-This process varies depending on the age and skill level of the child. For younger and less skilled swimmers the first stage is to build trust with the child so he/she feels safe going a little out of his/her comfort zone.

SWIM LESSONS- boys and girls ages 2-9

SWIM LESSONS- Find a teacher that knows how to communicate well with the children, and make sure the teacher has prior experience.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
SWIM LESSONS- What they want to work on most and also what they are afraid to do. Setting goals for themselves and finding someone who will help achieve them.

Trevor is great with kids. He makes them smile and laugh while working hard on skills to help them be more successful swimmers. My daughter enjoyed him as an instructor. I would happily sign her up for another lesson with Mr. Trevor.
