About Kennedy

Let's get started together on your journey to becoming a sound basketball player/athlete!

I have over 8 years of basketball coaching experience, and have coached and trained student and professional athletes ages from 6 years-old all the way up to 30 years-old. My journey playing basketball after high school started at the Division 2 level at Carson-Newman University in Tennessee, and soon after decided to transfer to a Junior College to fulfill my lifelong dream of going Division 1. After graduating and receiving my Associates degree from Jacksonville Baptist College in Texas I had multiple Division 1 offers, and ultimately chose Tennessee State University in Nashville, where I was born. After playing 1 year at Tennessee State I decided to transfer to the University of Texas-Arlington for more of a challenge. After completing my Bachelors at UTA, I went on to play professionally in Canary Islands, Spain. After deciding coaching was my passion I went on to coach and train student-athletes in the states and also in Beijing and Shenzhen, China for a while. Covid came along and I decided to move my coaching career back to the states, in Pompano Beach, Florida where I was the head JV and Varsity Basketball coach for 4 years. I've grown athletes skill sets and have sent multiple student-athletes to college while my time as a Head Boys Varsity and travel basketball coach.

While training with me we will work on the basics and fundamentals first and foremost to see where each and every trainee's skill level is. I am big on the mental aspect of the game as well, and believe anything anyone puts their mind to they are able to achieve. I will work with you on dribbling, shooting, passing, defensive prowess, footwork, as well as many other things I will pick up on while training athletes. I love teaching young athletes and basketball all-around and look forward to seeing the growth in individuals I work with.
