About Dedrick

I love teaching and explaining the fundamentals of basketball and relating them to the efforts and focus required in life. I've been in Social Work/Mental Health for 24 years and now I get to combine my love of people, youth, basketball and psychology.

I love watching the children obtain the principles and fundamentals of the sport. The additional effects to their confidence as well as their life skills displays the need for focus, effort, confidence, decisiveness and dedication to achieve every objective in life.

I was one of the highest ranked players in high school and did enter the NBA Draft and participated in the NBA Combines successfully before being injured.

About the lesson

Understanding their desires in the sport, assessing their temperament and honing in on their mindfulness in all things before teaching the fundamental concepts of every aspect of the sport. We address vision, footwork, ball handling, shooting and use of speed and force.
