About Will

WillPower BST is here to help players of all levels understand the When ,Where ,Why and How of basketball skills training

What excites me most about developing players is seeing the growth in their confidence and on court ability to apply the skills that they have spent countless hours prefecting in the game to give them a better chance to reach their personal goals.

I started teaching the game of basketball working at the Downtown Oakland YMCA after my collegiate career. Helping build the fundamentals for the game in little kids. Parents began requesting private lessons eventually the demand grew and i was able to turn it into a business.

I have 10 years of basketball player development experience ranging from professional altheletes to elementary players. And. Three years of film breakdown(Sports Code,Synergy,Hudl) for teams and players at the high school, collegiate and professional levels.  Certified USA Basketball Gold Coach trained under NBA coahes and trainers.

Every new player will begin with player assessment.  The assessment includes a conversion with both the parent and the player about their goals, location, pricing, and availability.   We then do a complimentary assessment workout (45-60min) with either a group or individually.  Then we'll have a follow up meeting to give my perspective on the player's skill level and my plan to help achieve the family's goal.

I've worked with every level from NBA professionals to beginners just starting to pick up a basketball 🏀.

My advice to any student looking to hire a Player Development Coach is to make sure it's a good fit for both the player and teacher. You want to ensure that the teaching techniques of the coach and the work ethic of the player are aligned..... choose me :) I'm your fit.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Players should havd a idea about what type of player they desire to be. Use their imagination and never allow someone to box you in and tell you what type of player you are. Develop your game to be the player you want to be.
