About Anna
I am a student centered tutor. Each and every individual learns in a different way on a different timeline. My goal is to develop a program of study that works for each unique student.
I love helping students find joy in their learning even if it a subject that they are struggling in. By helping the student relate to the material they become more engaged and successful
I unlocked my love for teaching while substituting in local public schools.
I hold a BS in Biology from Grove City College and will graduate in December of 2020 with a MEd in Secondary Education from Slippery Rock University

This will look a little different for every student as each individual has their own needs and comes in at different levels. I will likely want to 'meet' prior to our first session in order to get a fully understanding of the students needs and current level of success
I have primarily worked with middle and secondary students but did spend a significant amount of time in elementary classrooms while I was substitute teaching in 2017 and 2018.
I think it is important that students find a tutor that compliments them well. Some students respond well to male power authority while others need a nurturing figure it is important to figure out what the student needs and choose a tutor that meets that role
