About Caroline
Using language well, even for school or job-related asssignments, can become satisfying work. I help impart a lifelong confidence with words by giving students the tools to understand texts of all kinds, whether nonfiction, literature or technical documents. I also teach the skills involved in analysis, such as critical thinking and organizing ideas, along with any other written communication assistance that students request, including grammar, word choice, and style. I am also available to teach poetry and fiction writing.
I graduated summa cum laude from both college and graduate school in English Literature and creative writing. I have been tutoring in some capacity since 2011, and currently publish my own work in top literary publications.
A B.A. and and M.A. in English Literature and Creative Writing

First, we discuss the reason that the student reached out for help. What are their goals for tutoring, both short and long term? What would a successful result look like for them? Then I create an individualized plan to meet those goals.
