About Karen
Hello! My knowledge of politics, government, and advocacy are my strengths as my experience in a variety of internships, volunteer hours, and networking events solidify my capability to tutor.
I am currently studying for my Masters in Political Science, minoring in public policy or Mexican-American history (currently studying both until I decide).
Watching social media and the human psyche change into an "I'm always right" mentality scares me, and thus, out of necessity to preserve the good education offers, am willing to use what I have learned to educate, objectively, the next generation of leaders. My goal is to preserve critical thinking, objective reasoning, and provide resources students can use to be independent, free thinkers with their own perspectives of life with proper education.

Introductions:
- Get familiar with the student through an ice breaker, as well as parents or guardian to ensure trust
- Review the strengths and weaknesses of the student learning wise (what type of learner they are, i.e. visual)
- Review school materials/subject outline BEFORE evaluation
Evaluation:
- The student must take a quick personalized quiz on the given subject to see what they know/need to know
- Ask the student or parent 20 questions or so ensure the proper outline of the subject
Teaching: *mirrors a college-level type course
- Once the evaluation is complete, a personalized course outline will be created that covers the subject entirely or what the student needs extra help with
- Presentations, worksheets, and day-to-day outlines can be created as well
