About Misa
I have done tutoring for many years, mainly in math, but for other subjects as well. I enjoy teaching and letting students know that they are able to understand subjects that could seem very difficult to them. I am a college student with honors, so I am familiar with current AP test formats as well. I started taking the ACT in 7th grade, and I took it every year past that until my senior year in high school, so I am very familiar with the ACT testing as well.
I love seeing my students finally getting the answer they were stuck on! I feel accomplished for myself and proud for the students at the same time, so it is always a win-win situation. I also enjoy the aspect of getting to know how different minds learn differently, and it lets me look at the same problem from different angles.

I tend to ask them to list their favorite subjects, thier least favorite subjects, and the subject they are struggling with to understand their strengths and weaknesses. I also use this data to assess if the subject they are struggling with is categorized as their favorite or their least favorite subject to observe the change after I tutor them.
