About Georgina
Currently 24 years old and a graduate student at Duke University , I have tutoring since I was 12 years old. I have worked with students are in elementary school and students who are completely their undergraduate degree. Every student requires patience and consistency in order to reach their academic goals. I can guarantee both.
I enjoy helping my students work through difficult problems and recognize that they can solve it on their own with practice. My passion comes from seeing my students improve each day.
I hold an undergraduate degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. I have worked as undergraduate tutor in New York for the past two years and have worked with younger students for the 10 years+.

I typically start by assigning my students a placement test to get an idea of what their strengths and weaknesses are before planning specific lessons. I also consistently draw questions from State exams and classroom assignments to ensure that my students are exposed to the question formatting that they will face when sitting exams.
I utilize a whiteboard to encourage live problem solving and I encourage students to always attempt a question first when we reviewing tests/questions. My sessions are a safe place to get things wrong because we are there to learn.

Details
My standard pricing system is $30/hr. Each session is typically an hour long, however depending on the students' needs and/or schedule. I recommend only one hour session because students grasp concepts better when a break is taken in between sessions.
