About Corrine
I have always loved teaching people and was always the student in school helping to explain things to my classmates when they didn't understand the teacher. I almost went into teaching as a profession but discovered my love for computer science.
I just graduated from Bucknell University with a degree in Computer Science and Engineering and minors in Math and Spanish. The knowledge I have gained from the classes I took will help me immensely to teach students. I have experience with tutoring at my university both one on one as well as in a group. And I have experience working with children both in a babysitting setting as well as a daycare setting.

I will first have them tell me what they have been learning and have them try to explain what they know and what they don't to help me get an idea of where they are. Once I know what they need help with, I will make sure that I am familiar with the content and can explain it in different ways to find one that works for the student. I will consult the student's textbook and classwork to make sure that I am following the procedures they are being taught in class.
The only official tutoring I have done has been with college students. I did volunteer tutoring in high school for the national honor society which was working with fellow high school students.
Find someone patient, and someone who finds a new way to explain something when you don't understand rather than repeating themselves.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
How do you learn best, for example, do you learn by watching someone do an example, or doing a problem on your own? Do you learn better when the material is applied to a real life example or when it is just kept as a theory? Also, try to figure out what you understand and what you don't, this will help your teacher to not go over things you already know and focus on the things you need help with.
