About Svetlana
When I was younger I struggled in school, my parents got me a tutor for general subjects and I excelled. I am a senior at Cheshire High School, I have completed college classes like AP Human Geography, AP US History, and AP Music Theory. I am currently enrolled in AP Calculus, AP French, and AP Psychology. I do have experience working in a tutoring center for 2 years at Kumon. I have helped kids, ages 3 to 16, with understanding math and reading. I love working with kids and seeing the light in their eyes when they finally understand a new concept. I love their energy and their passion for learning. I will come to you or you can come to me or I can give lessons over Skype! I can't wait to help your kiddos!

I usually work on easier and more basic concepts, in order to build their confidence and for me to assess what they can do. Then we slowly build their strengths and weaknesses.
I've worked with students from 3 to 16. I have taught a little girl how to read, and I have helped a fourth grader to finally understand the basic concept behind addition and subtraction, as well as helping older students in high school do complex algebra.
Find a tutor you can work well with, it is really hard learning from someone who is boring and unhelpful. Find some who can make learning interesting.
