About Lisa
I have taught in a variety of grade levels and subjects. I have a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and am currently working on my Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I have been tutoring for a year now and enjoy working one on one and helping students find the best ways for them to learn. I have helped mostly with reading and math so far, helping students work through struggles and new strategies to work throught the material.

My typical process for working with students is to work in the area that is most concerning for the parents and assess through observation. Once I have pinpointed the struggles I will discuss my observations with the parents and make suggestions of how to overcome the identified issues. The parents and I will come up with a plan together and then I will begin to work through it, as I have more observations I will continue to keep the parents informed of the progress being made and make adaptions as needed.
