About Brooke
Greetings! My name is Brooke, and I'm an accomplished professional in many fields and subjects, from business to government to media to education and more. I'm certified in five subject areas, and I taught in Special Education, Gifted & Talented, and Mixed Ability classrooms in Florida and Connecticut before coming to Southern Maine. I have a lifelong (and contagious) passion for learning, and I believe that every individual is capable of excellence.
I support my students by creating and delivering individualized lessons that build on student strengths' and natural aptitudes to increase engagement and learning gains. I believe in a holistic approach that encompasses personal and social-emotional growth along with academic progress, and I am committed to helping my students achieve their individual goals in school and beyond.
For more on my qualifications, certifications and accomplishments, see my LinkedIn profile at (concealed information)
I have a Master's of Fine Arts in Writing and Literary Criticism to complement by Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History. I am a FL-certified Highly Qualified Teacher in five subject areas, including Special Education and English for Speakers of Other Languages. I worked in FL and CT schools prior to relocating to Maine, and I have multiple letter of references from instructors and employers.

I offer a free initial consultation with prospective students to determine interest and compatability, and to discuss goals, objectives, and timelines. Academic support plans are developed in conjunction with the specific needs and goals of each student, along with supporting information (e.g., test scores, grades, formal/informal records).
