About Ethan
I'm excited to teach in a different way than your teacher did. Let's step back and see what you know, we'll practice skills piece-by-piece, come up with some creative analogies, then fit it all together. I've used all of my math skills in engineering graduate school and multiple research positions. Everything you learn is useful.
I have bachelor's degrees in Chemical and Biological Engineering from Montana State University. I completed one year of a PhD in Chemical Engineering at Colorado State University. I've held research positions at each of those universities and the University of Vermont. I've worked across multiple disciplines including biomedical engineering, materals science and environmental engineering. I have plenty of stories of how every subject I teach can be appiled in the real world.

Let's get to know eachother. Send me a message about what you're looking for. I'll reply with what I can bring to the table.
Once we decide to work together, I'd like to get aquianted with which classes you've already taken, what you know, and how you learn. Then we can make a plan of what to cover in each session. I'll use that plan to compile the best materials for each session.
Hire a teacher you'll enjoy working with. Make sure they've mastered the subject. But also look for a teacher who can explain things in a personalized way just for you. If the teacher has gone on to use the subject in their own work then you know they've re-learned it and re-applied again and again.
