About Lisette
I'm a teacher with over 10 years of experience working with children 4 to 17 year old. I have a civil engineering degree so I have a strong background in math and physics. I've also taught language arts, social studies, math and sciences in elementary grades, both in English and in Spanish. I also work part time teaching coding (scratch jr. And scratch) to children 5 to 12 years old.

When I first meet the student, I will ask them (and/or a parent) about what they are looking for in the tutoring and if there is anything in particular they would like to work on.
We would also talk a bit to get to know each other, learn about the students' preferences and interests, and just "break the ice" a bit in order for everyone to get to know each other and to feel comfortable and at ease.
I would proceed to do an evaluation to determine the strengths of the student and areas for improvement.
With this information, I would program a series of coherent and interconnecting lessons in order to strengthen students' weaknesses, integrating their interests to make the class more enjoyable and meaningful for the student.
