About Julia
As a tutor of 6+ years and a certified Math Teacher, I strongly believe that academic confidence is a major determinant in a child's ability to achieve success in the classroom. Because of this, I encourage students to develop their confidence through an individualized approach to tutoring. I share feedback with students and parents about the child's unique learning style and provide tips and strategies to maximize success. Not only do I help students master Math concepts, but I also show them how to study and learn in a way that is unique to their strengths as a student! Everyone learns differently, and it's my goal to celebrate and support that.
I have a Bachelor's in Exceptional Student Education with a minor in Mathematics. I am currently pursuing a master's in Mathematics Education. I have also been working as a tutor for over 6 years and as a public school teacher for 2 years.

I like to learn as much about the students as possible! Identifying their learning style is my top priority so I can structure our sessions to best accommodate them.
I work with all kinds of students. Predominately my students are challenged either by ADHD, Autism, or test taking anxiety.

Perfect! Julia was the first to respond to my request for contact and I consider myself blessed that she did. I was so impressed with Julia's thorough knowledge of the subject matter but so much more impressed by her ability to inconspicuously and genuinely get to know your child in order to constantly adapt the lesson to how they are best taught, which is a true gift. My son's confidence in Algebra 1 Honors has sky-rocketed and he is not only able to solve equations at this point, but is beginning to manipulate the data to gain stronger understanding. Julia's tutoring has been a gift. She has in such a short span of time given my son the tools and determination to confront the beast that Algebra 1 had become. I can with all confidence recommend Julia and guarantee immediate results/improvement with her guidance.

Julia is a fantastic tutor. She’s helped my son master MS pre-algebra, HS algebra and is now helping him with HS geometry. She’s gifted at being able to put math concepts into understandable language for all levels of learners. I highly recommend Julia.
