About Matthew
Dear Clients/Parents,
I have been tutoring part time since 2011. I have graduated from NYU School of Engineering, where I majored in Mathematics. Also, I have graduated from Teacher College, Columbia University with Master of Arts in Mathematics Education. My research in mathematics education is improving student ability to learn and increase their test scores.
I have tutored elementary school through college aged students in many different subjects including elementary math, pre-algebra, algebra 1 and 2, geometry, trigonometry, Statistics and Finite Mathematics. I have tutor test prep courses such as the GED, GRE, SAT, GMAT, and SHSAT.
My Teaching Experience includes three years from a community college and university level. Keeping in mind that each child has their own learning style, I will guide you through your studies in a way that it will come easy and fun to learn mathematics. I always make sure to come prepared with additional examples to accompany the material we are covering, so as to ensure that your child achieves a full grasp of the topic or concept.
