I will get to know the student by asking them some questions as well as what they hope to achieve.
I have worked with a wide variety of students from elementary to high school. In addition, I have also worked with special needs kids.
Experience is key when hiring a teacher. During my 5+ years a a tutor, I have been able to gain a lot of insight through my students which in turn has made me a better teacher. If it was not for that experience, I would not have gained so many valuable lessons.
I have had multiple students that have had poor grades in their class and have been able to get it up at an A once I started working with them.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should ask what the teacher's approach will be in order to help them to succeed when teaching the student.

I was able to get my ACT score up 5 points with Kathryn's help! She is truly amazing and knows exactly how to help students.
I was struggling at the beginning of the semester with all of my classes but after Kathryn helped me I was able to finish with an A in all of them!
She gave great tips to improve my ACT score!
Positive introduction to my daughter in 7th grade struggling with a pre-algebra test. Met with her at 6:45 am before the bus! Impressive!
You were very nice and talked at my level and answered all my questions.
The best! Always there to help Sienna learn and grow. She is doing so well with Kathryn! I am so pleased to have her as a part of her learning life.
