About Viviana
I started tutoring since I was in kindergarten. In my class, most of the kids didn't understand English, growing up in a spanish speaking household. The teacher nor the aid staff spoke spanish so little me raised her hand and offered to help out. I understood everything being taught so I explained it to everyone else in Spanish, and anyone that needed help would ask me questions. That's how my tutoring career really started. Throughout the rest of my school years, learning was one of my favorite things to do, no matter the subject. If there was someone that needed help, I'd take the time to help.
Every person, and student, has a different personality, learning ability, capability. My objective with my students is to make sure they feel comfortable with the material, and help them until they do- no matter how long it takes.
I love working with children of all ages. My goal is to help them, not just learn but, understand what they are studying. My favorite moment with a student is when it all clicks and a light bulb is lit- you can see it on their face. That's all the satisfaction I need because I know, once that happens, they'll do great with the rest. It doesn't matter if that moment takes one session or several, I do my best to help them every time we meet.
I was always top of my class in school- tutoring came second nature. While I was finishing my last classes to graduate a year early, I was tutoring several to help them finally finish, even 3 years after their time. I'm proud to say all of them reached the goal. Though I do not have formal training or education, my passion for learning has always driven me to help others learn and get it right.

I make sure to take time to get to know my students: see their work ethic and what areas they need most help. Their learning is what's most important, not memorizing to get through to the next subject.
I've worked with a variety of students, from elementary students to high school students, homeschooled or in traditional programs.
