About Sharon
My lessons are interactive, structured, and tailored to each student’s learning goals. I begin by identifying the student’s current understanding and the specific topics they need help with. Concepts are then explained clearly and logically, using examples that connect theory with practical applications.
For mathematics and programming, I emphasize step-by-step reasoning and problem-solving strategies. Students work through problems together with guidance, learning how to analyze questions, structure solutions, and debug code effectively. When needed, we review assignments and develop strategies to approach similar problems independently.
My goal is not only to solve immediate challenges but also to help students build lasting analytical skills and confidence so they can tackle new challenges on their own.
Lessons can be conducted in English or Mandarin Chinese, depending on the student’s preference.
I also encourage students to send their questions or code before the lesson so we can focus directly on the areas that need the most attention.

Standard online lesson: $60 per hour
Discounts may be available for regular weekly lessons or longer sessions.
First lesson:
A short introductory discussion can be arranged to understand the student’s goals, current level, and the topics they need help with.
Lesson format:
Lessons are conducted online via Zoom with screen sharing and interactive problem solving. Students are welcome to send homework questions, assignments, or programming code in advance so we can focus directly on the areas that need the most attention.
