About Amanda
Hi!
I'm Amanda Garr, an experienced high school teacher turned high school counselor. I have 22 years experience between these two fields and come to you ready to help take the stress out of your latest writing project. I love working with teens and helping them to set and accomplish goals!
I have two teens myself so I am now at the stage of life where my work intersects with my home. I have gained new perspective on the life (and academic demands) of a high school student.

My lessons are personalized to your situation. If you have a project, a paper, or a specific essay you are trying to complete, I will work with you to develop your idea into a piece of writing you are proud of and that will, hopefully, help you achieve your goal.
We will look at the assignment or prompt together to ensure you are following the guidelines. Then, as you draft your initial copy, I will be there every step to proofread and offer human feedback and constructive criticism.
If you struggle with analysis of difficult text, I can offer support there, too.
