About Tom
I am a highly experienced and fully qualified primary school teacher with over 20 years in education. I hold a BA (Hons) in Education Studies, Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), and a PGCE in Mathematics Education (Specialist Teacher). I am passionate about child-led learning, play-based approaches, and the use of ICT to enhance teaching and learning. I have worked across the full primary age range, helping children build confidence and a love for learning. I have extensive experience in integrating technology into the classroom to make learning more engaging and accessible.

I provide engaging and personalised tutoring in mathematics, English, phonics, and reading for primary-aged children. I tailor each lesson to suit the individual needs of the child, ensuring they make steady progress. Lessons typically last 45 minutes to an hour, depending on the child’s age and attention span. With over 20 years of experience as a qualified teacher and specialist training in mathematics and early literacy, I have a deep understanding of how children learn best. My tutoring is ideal for children in Early Years and Primary (ages 4-11), including those who need extra support, are preparing for assessments, or want to boost their confidence in key subjects.
