About Douglas
I have tutored for 3 years now professionally. But also during my time studying in high school and in university I spent many hours collaborating and sharing understanding with my peers. If I were to encourage one thing for my students it would be this: Don’t aim to just learn it, aim to be able to teach it to someone else. This really forces you to focus on the aspects you don’t quite understand.

When I look back on my learning experiences I find that it mattered greatly who I learnt from.
I strive to understand the ways each of my students best learn, and try to give my insights from as many angles as I can. When it comes to math and physics, there is often more than one way to approach a problem. I encourage my students to not only find the approach that suits them, but to try them all and form the connections that promote adaptability when facing problems that they have not seen before.
