About Haneen
I have had my own experiences with tutoring in the past, and understand what it is like to be in the position of a student, and struggle with course material. I have also spent over 6 years cultivating key skills and techniques to efficiently learn and engage with information and knowledge. I have found that everyone learns differently, but the key is to figure out your own learning style and accordingly adapt active learning practices. I aim to help others cultivate life-long techniques, habits and mindsets to thrive in any area of knowledge.

I take an active tutoring approach that is tailored to your needs. I empower the student with the tools to learn future material and content. I also focus on a growth mindset which is essential to thriving.
Each lesson will focus on a subject that the student is struggling with, and will typically last for 45 minutes, after 45 minutes to ensure active memory retention, I will employ a 15-minute recall quiz on the subject we have learned. The idea isn't to get every question right during this quiz but to actively remember the key concepts we have learnt during the lesson.
Through my years of experience, I have worked as a graduate teaching assistant at the University of Auckland and have helped students adapt their own ways of learning. I have also taught kindergarten and primary school students to become fluent English speakers when English wasn't their first language.
As a result, I have experience tutoring all ages from school entry (5 years of age) to University graduates (stage 3 University level courses).
