About Jess
My name is Jess (she/her) and I’m a 23-year-old student teacher at the University of Cambridge. I studied Geography at undergraduate level, obtaining a First Class Honours degree from the University of Oxford. I absolutely love geography, science, and all things natural! I have a particular interest in ecology, and have undertaken several conservation education initiatives in schools around the world, such as in Rwanda and Malaysia. I also have a strong passion for teaching and learning; I truly believe every day is a school day and love learning new things, especially through the practice of engaging with a diverse range of students. Inclusivity is at the core of my practice - being neurodivergent and physically disabled myself, I know firsthand how important inclusive and adaptive teaching is, and always aim to fully meet the unique needs of each and every student I work with. I take great pride in my work as a tutor, and always aim to centre my students in everything I do in order to secure the best outcomes and watch them flourish.

I am passionate about tailoring my approach to truly meet the needs of my students and therefore help to secure the best outcomes. Inclusivity is one of my core values, and I take great care to ensure that I am as inclusive as possible in my practice. I value clear communication, transparency and reliability, and always aim to go above and beyond for my students. I am currently training to be a teacher at the University of Cambridge, and hold a First Class degree with Honours in BA Geography from the University of Oxford. I also have many years' experience of tutoring students both in my chosen subject of Geography, as well as in Oxford and Cambridge admissions. I am currently best suited to tutoring GCSE and A Level students in Geography, as well as Year 12/13 students applying to Oxbridge. Lessons typically last 1 hour, although I am able to be flexible. As I am currently working in a school, lessons will typically be offered in the evening during weekdays, or at weekends. I hold an enhanced DBS certificate and have undergone extensive safeguarding training.
