About William
I am currently studying a Masters degree in Applied Mathematics, having achieved a First Class degree in Maths and Philosophy. I have always enjoyed Maths, and I see private tutoring as a great opportunity to pass on that enjoyment to others, whilst at the same time allowing them to improve their skills.
I achieved A* in all my Maths GCSEs and A-levels and I have plenty of experience talking people through all sorts of advanced concepts.

I have always enjoyed Maths, and I see private tutoring as a great opportunity to pass on that enjoyment to others, whilst at the same time allowing them to improve their skills. My relaxed style helps even the most maths-phobic students enjoy the lessons. I don't believe in the idea that some people just "can't do Maths" and believe it always comes down to them not having been taught in a way that is right for them. In this way, I make sure to cater my teaching style to each student, in a manner that will keep it interesting for both of us every lesson.
I believe the best way for a student to learn is by doing so we will walk through question sets together. I will also always teach how the underlying Maths works in a way that will deepen the student's understanding of the subject, rather than just rattling off formulas and methods.
