About Eva
I am a former elementary school teacher with a passion for helping students reach their academic goals. I am a 2018 graduate from Illinois State University with a degree in Elementary Education and an endorsement in English as a Second Language. I am also a 2014 Golden Apple Scholar and have 10 years of experience working with K-8 students in all subject areas. I pride myself on developing strong relationships with my students to help them find the best way they learn. My goal as a tutor is to help students fulfill their academic potential and instill a love for learning!

My lessons student-centered, so I meet students where they are to determine our next steps. I work alongside my students to help guide them as they gain confidence in an academic skill until they can do it independently. I am patient and not afraid to pause and change tactics if a particular teaching method is not effective for a particular student. My lessons are fun and engaging, and I love to incorporate digital tools and games to make learning fun.
