About Jeanie
I am a tutor who loves to teach! Outside of tutoring I love animals, crafting, and reading. I have 2 dogs, 4 cats, and 10 chickens! I love to take drives in the mountains with my dogs. I paint wooden objects-mostly unicorns, and I build or create decorations for each holiday. I sew and create clay animals and I also write. Currently I am working on a 3rd grade chapter book about an elephant who travels in a hot air balloon.

I use multiple teaching methods, but I focus all my lessons on Ortan-Gillingham lessons and structure. Blending in programs like HELPS , Anton, XtraMath, Starfall, and RosiMosi. Supplementing with Khan Academy, TedTalks, and YouTube for support. I write my lessons utilizing the learners strengths. I want to keep the learner in his or her zone of proximal development. I fill in gaps using National Standards. I have the best practices of keeping up to date with CDE, NCTM, and U.S. Department of Education. Mindfulness and motivational interviewoing are also found in my teaching toolbox!
