About Kauri
First and foremost, I am a lover of music. My goal is to pass on my passion to others through teaching violin. Not only will my students learn how to play the instrument, but through doing so, they will learn about creativity, determination, and how to express yourself with confidence.
I have been learning the violin since the age of 3 and after finishing my degree in biomedical engineering, I went back to university to attain my music degree in violin performance. I am now a freelance musician and violin teacher.

Over 5 years teaching professionally at schools and music institutes in Auckland, NZ, and over 10 years teaching violin privately.
I like to tailor my lessons to each student and how they learn, but will maintain a focus on playing with creativity, originality, and without tension.
