About Taiba
Hi, I'm Taiba and I’m currently studying Mechanical Engineering and I've always been passionate about pursuing engineering since high school. Because of this, I understand how important math and physics are for students who want to enter technical and science-related fields. These subjects are not only necessary for exams, but they also build the foundation needed for university, especially for engineering.
I achieved A* in both IGCSE Mathematics and Physics, and through my own experience, I learned that the key to success in these subjects is not memorizing formulas but truly understanding how and why things work in a more fun way. This is the approach I use when teaching my students.
I have always enjoyed helping classmates and younger students who struggled with math and physics, and that is what made me interested in tutoring. I want to help students overcome the fear of these subjects, master the basics, and build enough confidence to perform well in exams and be prepared for university-level studies in the future.
My teaching style is patient, clear, and step-by-step. I adapt my lessons depending on the student’s level, whether they need help understanding school topics, improving their grades, or aiming for top results like A or A*. I also focus on problem-solving skills and exam techniques that are very important for IGCSE.
My lessons are for Year 5 to Year 11 students studying IGCSE mathematics or physics, and I offer online lessons in Kuala Lumpur. My goal is to make learning productive, enjoyable, and confidence-building so students feel ready not only for exams, but also for their future studies.

As someone who achieved A in both IGCSE Mathematics and Physics, I understand exactly what it takes to do well in these subjects, not just memorizing, but actually understanding how to think through questions.
I believe that every student learns differently, so my teaching style is flexible and focused on making sure the student truly understands the concept, not just memorizes formulas. I like to explain topics step-by-step in a simple way, then practice together using questions similar to IGCSE exams so students feel confident during tests.
For mathematics and physics, I focus a lot on problem-solving techniques, shortcuts, and understanding the logic behind formulas. I also make lessons interactive by asking students to explain their thinking, so I can see where they need help and adjust the lesson accordingly. My goal is to make the class comfortable, engaging, and stress-free so students are not afraid to ask questions.
My typical lesson is usually 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on the student’s level and focus. In each lesson, I normally review previous topics, teach something new, and practice exam-style questions to build the student's confidence.
I have experience tutoring IGCSE students from Year 5 to Year 11, especially in mathematics and physics. I am familiar with the IGCSE syllabus and exam format, so I know the common mistakes students make and how to help them improve quickly.
