About Gio
I was someone who struggled with Mathematics in high school. The student who never 'got it' on the first try, asked more questions than anyone in class, and got Ds and Cs, and a B at best. In terms of the 'Mathematics totem pole' I was so low I had to take pre-calculus the summer before college to enter into the lowest math class my first year. Now, I have achieved a Mathematics degree, while studying at Harvard, The University of Chicago, The London School of Economics, and my base school The College of Wooster #OhioRules being #1 in my class. How did that happen?
By sticking to one phrase throughout: K.I.S.S "Keep It Simple Stupid." What I realize now, is that most teachers complicate things beyond necessary, usually just to sound smart. I detest this. The point of teaching is to help someone learn, to get them excited about material, not to make yourself feel 'smart'. I think it is these teachers that have made people think they 'can't do math,' and who have made people afraid of the subject.
Though, I believe that anyone, yes I mean anyone, can learn mathematics, if we all just had great teachers. Since I was guided by many great teachers in college in my own journey, I want to pay it forward by doing the same, especially for those students who are struggling today just as I did in high school.

I met Gio at the Math department in college. He’s an enthusiastic guy who makes others want to learn math. He’s very hardworking and dedicated when he is accomplishing a task.
