I'm Daisy, I'm currently in Year 12 and studying four A-level subjects: English Literature, Psychology, Chemistry & Biology. I aspire to have a career in medicine and my hobbies include piano, crochet and spending time with my two lovely black cats!

Typical lesson length would be an hour. My lessons involve completing past GCSE English papers to develop timing skills, which are crucial particularly in English Language, as well as showing students model answers and analysing these, some of which are my own that demonstrate exactly what a student should do to achieve top marks in the English GCSEs. Essay planning and structure would also be covered in the lessons.
I also have a lot of experience in creative writing and how to tackle this ambiguous part of the exam.
I have used the above techniques to tutor year 7 students in GCSE English, and these have significantly built their confidence and understanding in the subject. I've also tutored year 11 students. I will pass on exactly what I did to achieve grade 9s in my GCSE English exams and how to work effectively under exam pressure.
I achieved eight grade 9s at GCSE and an 8, so have valuable experience in revision and exam technique. I loved GCSE English and have chosen to continue studying English, this year, at A-level and I'd love to pass on my skills and help other students to become confident in the subject and ace the exams!
My lessons are for any student completing the GCSE English course (typically of secondary school age 11-16).
