About Jaya
I hold a Master's in Computer Science, and long before I moved into software development, I taught computing in India — so teaching CS is where I started, not a recent add-on. My software engineering background spans AWS, Teradata, Motorola, and most recently Cubic Transportation Systems, where I worked on embedded Linux and TfL's contactless payment systems — real infrastructure used by millions of commuters every day. I also founded and run an education platform, building curriculum and learning tools alongside teaching directly. I enjoy breaking down complex CS concepts — algorithms, systems design, low-level performance — into something you can reason through yourself rather than memorise. Whether you're stuck on a module, prepping for interviews, or want to properly understand your coursework, I'd like to help.

My lessons are built around what you're actually stuck on: coursework, exam topics, or interview prep. We work through data structures and algorithms, OOP, system design, and language-specific pitfalls in C++, Java, or Python — live, problem by problem. For interview prep, I run LeetCode-style questions the way real interviews go: your first attempt, then refining it towards an optimised solution, with the reasoning explained at each step rather than just the answer. Lessons adapt to where you are — first-year foundations, exam revision, coursework debugging, or technical interview readiness — and after the first session we agree a clear plan so every lesson works towards a specific goal.
