About Alyssa
I am an A student and have held the highest scores for all my college level science courses up to date including: Oceanography 101, Physical Geology 100 (with a Lab), and Biology 100 (with a Lab). I am currently enrolled in Geology 180 and Geology 251. I have hosted several study sessions of various sizes with peers. I have lead them both in person and over zoom.

I have only ever tutored peers 17-22 years of age however I am certain my methods can be adopted into teaching a younger audience. I usually start off by creating visuals for concepts that are the hardest to memorize. I break down the visuals step by step and elaborate the how's and whys. I love to use analogies for more intricate topics, so that a person can better comprehend the material. I then create fun quizzes, games, and worksheets to help ensure firm a understanding.
