About Reegan
Hello, my name is Reegan, and I'd love to be your new English tutor!
I am particularly passionate about literature and writing, and I strive to create a supportive, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable exploring ideas and building confidence. You'll find me patient and enthusiastic!
I hold a BA in English Literature from Trinity College Dublin where I developed strong analytical and research skills through extensive essay writing and thesis work. My academic background includes the study of American, British, Irish, and Russian literature.

Learning is an individual process, which is why I begin by discussing each student’s specific goals, interests, and areas for growth. Whether you’d like to improve reading comprehension, develop a deeper understanding of a particular text, strengthen essay-writing skills, or prepare for exams, I tailor each lesson to suit your needs and learning style.
My teaching approach combines close reading, guided discussion, and structured writing support. I help students break down complex texts, identify key themes and arguments, and build clear, well-supported essays. I also provide detailed feedback on written work, focusing on clarity, structure, and analytical depth.
Lessons are flexible in length depending on your preference. You may work best in focused shorter sessions or longer, in-depth discussions. We can decide on a schedule that suits you!
I work with students of all ages, from early readers developing foundational skills to secondary school and university students seeking advanced literary analysis and essay support.
My goal is to meet each student without judgment, at whatever stage they are in their learning journey, and help them grow in both skill and confidence.
